Blood Tests and Specialized Screenings in South Shore, Montreal
Clinique Revive offers blood tests and specialized screenings on-site, with same-day appointments for most panels Monday to Friday. Whether you arrive with a requisition from another physician or want a Clinique Revive clinician to assess and order tests, the clinic handles the full path — booking, sample collection, lab partner processing, and a clinician’s interpretation when results return.
For Rive-Sud patients, the value is having no long delay between deciding to test and actually getting tested.

Bring a requisition or get one
Existing requisition? Bring it.

No requisition? A clinician can review your concern and order what is appropriate.
On-site sample collection
Phlebotomy is performed at the clinic; the sample is then routed to the partner laboratory for analysis.
Clinician interpretation
Numbers alone are not a diagnosis. A clinician reviews and explains what your results mean for your care.
When to choose blood tests and specialized screenings
This service fits patients who need lab work without the public-system wait — for example, a complete blood count, lipid panel, thyroid panel, iron studies, vitamin D, or specialized panels for inflammation, hormones, or pregnancy. It also suits patients whose family doctor is hard to reach in time.
It is not a replacement for ongoing chronic-disease management with a regular physician, and it is not appropriate for emergency situations such as acute bleeding or severe pain.
Preparation for blood work
Confirm fasting requirements at booking. Most cholesterol (lipid) panels no longer require fasting; the clinician confirms at booking if yours does, for example when triglycerides are known to be very high. A fasting glucose test still requires 8 to 12 hours of fasting (water allowed); most other tests do not. Hydrate well in the hours before the draw; this makes vein access easier and the sample cleaner.
Bring your health card, medication list, and the requisition if you have one. If you have had difficulty with blood draws in the past (fainting, hard-to-find veins), tell the team at check-in so they can plan accordingly.
Result turnaround and follow-up
Turnaround depends on the test and the partner laboratory. Standard panels (CBC, electrolytes, lipids, HbA1c) generally return within a few business days; specialized panels can take longer.
Results are communicated through Clinique Revive’s secure process. If anything in the result requires a clinical decision — abnormal value, unexpected finding, or anything the requisitioning clinician flagged — a follow-up visit is offered.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I just walk in for blood work?
Booking an appointment is recommended, especially for fasting tests. Same-day appointments are typically available Monday to Friday.
Will my insurance cover the blood test?
Coverage depends on your specific private plan. Clinique Revive provides an insurance receipt; you submit it to your insurer for reimbursement based on your policy.
Do I need a doctor’s requisition?
Either you bring one, or a Clinique Revive clinician reviews your concern and orders the appropriate tests. Self-ordered “any test I want” panels are not how good medicine works — context matters.
What if the result is abnormal?
The clinician reviews abnormal results, contacts you if action is needed, and offers a follow-up visit to discuss interpretation, additional tests, or referral.
